How to stay fired up during a cold snap
Battery life rapidly drops off when you’re taking pictures in cold conditions, particularly if you’re using the rear display a lot, or shooting long exposures or video. Investing in a second battery, and keeping it warm in an inside pocket until you need it, will ensure that you can carry on shooting for longer. Make sure you switch off battery hogs such as Wi-Fi and GPS too, and avoid repeatedly activating the AF system.
