A very fast shutter speed can capture detail that would otherwise be missed

When you want to capture the beautiful detail and drama in something that’s happening very quickly, you need accurate AF, quick reactions and a fast shutter speed! For this kind of shot, you can’t choose a shutter speed that’s too fast, so don’t be scared of 1/2000 sec or quicker. To get a fast shutter speed, you need lots of light or a very high ISO setting, and often a combination of both. In this shot, the subject and water are all sharp, and using Continuous AF was also an important factor in its success.
