One camera, one lens and warm clothing is all she needs
1 Canon EOS 5D Mk IV
“I bought my first Canon donkeys’ years ago. The EOS 5D Mk IV does what I want it to do – I think it’s important to find a camera that you connect with. For this kind of shoot, I use Live View because I can see the change in the light happening better than I can through the viewfinder and adjust to it more quickly.”
2 Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II
“I have owned all the Canon lenses, like most of us, but I find that this lens just gives me what I need. I shot for a while with a 50mm because it’s good for just shooting a subject, but it also limits you.
I like the flexibility that the 24-70mm focal range gives me – I like to be able to immediately pull my subject closer to me if necessary; if I see that the shape of the composition is good, then I can zoom out. I have used other lenses, but always come back to this one.”
