PRO TIP USE BACK BUTTON FOCUSING FOR TOTAL CONTROL

By default, modern cameras autofocus by half-pressing the shutter button and then take the photo by pressing the shutter fully all the way down. However, many professional cameras have a dedicated AF-ON button on the back of the camera that allows you to separate the autofocus engagement from the shutter for more precise control. This will be slightly different to the setup on different camera models, so check your manual and look in the autofocus options of your camera menu.

Uncouple autofocus operation from the shutter button to give yourself more control.
