Canon led the way as digital photography hit the mainstream, but the D3 was one hell of a riposte from Canon’s arch-rival. Nikon’s first full-frame DSLR was acclaimed for high-quality images with a broad dynamic range, including in low light, and for its 9fps burst rate for capturing sports and action.
