INFLUENTIAL FIGURES
According to 3sixty2 founder Alice Rule, 570 is the number of vine cuttings that ‘father’ of the Australasian wine industry James Busby accumulated in his time in Europe in the 1800s. But 362 is the number of vines that survived the trip back to New Zealand. Alice believes without Busby, New Zealand’s vibrant and successful wine industry may not have been possible. His passion fuelled Alice’s determination to create a winery that does more than simply make a good bottle of sauvignon blanc. She strives to sustainably get the most out her vines and, in the process, has created a wonderful wine from her Waihopai vineyard. 3sixty2’s Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2016 has natural acidity, stonefruit aromas and notes of ripe gooseberry. 3sixty2.com
