ONE HAZY BREW

This hazy, tropical pale ale is named after the fish Orange Roughy, and was originally brewed for the 2017 Port Chalmers Seafood Festival. The brew was devised as a novel way to encourage awareness about sustainable fishing practices. A sweet, easy-to-cook fish, the Orange Roughy was once so popular that numbers were depleting rapidly. Catch reductions have since been in place in order to rebuild stocks. Luckily Emerson’s stock hasn’t yet exhausted its allocation – this easy-drinking drop is suitable year-round. Hoppy, citrusy and with a malty kick, it pairs nicely with lightly smoked salmon. emersons.co.nz
