Andrew Bailey, founder and CEO of Misty Cove Wines, has a new project, Thirty One Rows, named after the number of rows of organically farmed sauvignon blanc, pinot noir and chardonnay he’s planted in the Northbank subregion in Marlborough. A 2019 Pinot Noir Rosé ($24) is made in a deliciously dry ‘Provence’ style from debutharvest fruit fermented in stainless steel to retain the freshness and one Perle barrel to add complexity and texture. “It’s a stunning rosé that’s set to be a favourite patio pounder this summer,” he laughs. thirtyonerows.com
