Over the years Masterchef UK’S Theo Michaels has created many a sharing board – from romantic platters for two to sumptuous feasts for up to 250. From there you can ease yourself in with the fabulously fuss-free, like the Fennel Seed and Sea Salt Pita Chips, Ember-roasted Corn with Cayenne Butter, and Veggie Halloumi Souvlaki with Harissa, before moving on to the more involved. Like the quirky conversati­on-starter Edible Flower Pots, complete with ‘mud’ (herby hummus) and Gravel (beans and lentils). Flavours from Theo’s Greek-cypriot heritage infuse and enhance many a recipe, not just in the Meze section, but in ‘Picnic’ too, where the Greek-style Scotch Eggs with Romesco Sauce are a cinnamon and nutmeg-laced spin on the old favourite.
