TOGARASHI EDAMAME BEANS

This is more of a method than a recipe. Just cook as many edamame as required. Add enough sesame oil to lightly coat the beans then toss with togarashi and salt to taste.

500 grams frozen edamame beans in their pods

2 teaspoons sesame oil

togarashi

sea salt

Add the edamame beans to a saucepan of boiling salted water and cook for 2 minutes after it comes back to the boil. Drain the beans and shake off all the water.

Place in a large bowl and drizzle over the sesame oil, tossing to coat all the beans. Add a little more oil if needed.

Sprinkle in a little togarashi and sea salt, toss again then add a little more of each and give a final toss.

Pile up in bowls and serve with empty bowls for the pods. SERVES 6
