- with Andrew Greig

In the first of a new series, Andrew asks DNA cover guys how they achieved their fitness goals.

DNA: What got you started in the fitness industry?

Mike Campbell: After living a very active youth, I did a Bachelor Of Physical Education at Uni. I was fascinated with the human body and still am. From this I decided to venture into helping people (and myself ) get in great shape. What has changed is that I realised how much positive impact I can have and it would be remiss of me not to try and spread that to as many people as possible.

What is one piece of advice you give all new clients?

Stop looking for the answers everywhere. Choose a path and stick with it. Keep it simple and apply consistency, patience and hard work. Laying the foundations will set you up for long-term sustainable success.

What does it take for someone to transform physically?

Usually the approach is purely training with attention to diet, however my experience has shown me that first someone must make the mental transformation to fully commit and prioritise their health and body. Without buying into a purpose, a plan and some real goals, all the fancy exercises and dietary advice won’t last. Get your head in the game properly, then nail nutrition, training, sleep, stress and living a great life. When you know your direction and it’s a path you really want to follow, then you can transform your body.
