It’s little surprise Robbie’s 2001 album Swing When You’re Winning – his valentine to old school crooning – remains his biggest selling album. The bigger surprise is that it’s taken him some 12 years to follow it up. As you’d expect there are plenty of name guests including Kelly Clarkson, Olly Murs, Lily Allen and the rather campy title track with Rufus Wainwright. To quell those Michael Bublé comparisons, Robbie’s gotten Michael to duet on the new track Soda Pop. Proving he has a sense of humour behind the smug veneer he not only covers If I Only Had A Brain from The Wizard Of Oz, but includes a track titled No One Likes A Fat Pop Star. This might just be Robbie’s next biggest selling album of all time.
