AVICII – TRUE

-

It’s not too early to crown Swedish cutie Avicii the new David Guetta. All it took was one massive hit (and a swing in direction from the club podiums to the pop charts) and 24-year-old Tim Bergling (as his mum calls him) went ballistic in the charts with Wake Me Up. It was surely only a matter of time before someone blended Mumford & Sons’ folkiness into a dance anthem but Avicii did it first, scoring his first #1 hit. The rest of the album is similarly hit-possessed with Adam Lambert on board for Lay Me Down and Chic’s unstoppable Nile Rodgers (from Daft Punk’s Get Lucky) around for Shame On Me. The soundtrack to summer.
