It could have been the allure of the azure in his eyes. Maybe it was the tautness of his hirsute torso or perhaps it was just the way he strained his swimwear in all the right places. In any case, Adam Phillips certainly made a splash when he debuted on the DNA blog last year. Just months after his first ever photo shoot, Adam was voted DNA’s Mate Of The Month. Now he is back, sexier than ever and this time gracing the cover. “To be featured in DNA is really amazing. I am very flattered,” says Adam, 25, from Plymouth. “It’s an accomplishment and recognises all of the hard work I’ve put in at the gym and with my diet.” Since his online debut, Adam has received a lot of feedback. “Some of my most loyal supporters are gay, which I am really happy about. When I am at the gym, it can give me that extra bit of motivation. I’m very thankful.” Adam has much to offer when he steps in front of a camera. So far, his hairy chest has proved to be his most desirable asset. “I prefer being hairy chested,” reveals Adam. “I have a kind of pretty face so a hairy chest gives me a more rugged look and balances that out. Personally, I think my eyes are probably my strongest attribute. I can show a lot of emotion through my eyes in photographs and that’s important.” Although his sexy shoots haven’t gone to his head, Adam has let them affect another part of his anatomy… Ever since slipping on snug Aussie Bums for his first beach shoot, Adam’s underwear drawer has become a whole lot briefer. “It’s funny, I used to wear boxers all the time,” he confesses. “It’s only after wearing tight trunks during my shoots that I have grown to prefer wearing underwear in that style. It’s just more comfortable and keeps everything in place. Plus it looks good, too.” Looking ahead, Adam hopes to showcase bulge-hugging briefs in an underwear advertising campaign. “To look up and be featured on a billboard modelling that style of product would just be awesome.”
