THE ASTON SHUFFLE – PHOTOGRAPHS
Three years since their debut LP, Seventeen Past Midnight, Canberra duo The Aston Shuffle release their long-anticipated sophomore album, Photographs. Written and recorded from Sydney to Ulladulla to Mumbai to London, Photographs is, as the name suggests, a scrapbook of musical mementos. Included is a hot rave tune with a swinging ’60s bent, Comfortable, and the big room anthem Tear It Down. Although they’ve been edging towards stardom, this is likely the album that brings The Aston Shuffle to the masses. They’re like a sleazier, hipper David Guetta, and we mean that in the nicest possible way. This is Australian dance music on a global level, so check out these happysnaps before the world snaps them up.
