It might be a surprise to discover that one of the best-known nude beaches in the world is found in chilly Canada, but Wreck Beach – British Columbia’s swimsuit-optional playground – is also North America’s largest naturalist beach. Just 15 minutes from downtown Vancouver, Wreck is a popular tourist destination, but even in peak season you’ll have plenty of space to stretch on a clothing optional section of sand that extends six kilometres. Here it’s legal to sunbathe, swim and walk in the woods just as nature intended. Depending on the time of year, you might even spot whales – in the ocean!
