MARIAH CAREY – ME. I AM MARIAH…

Never doing things simply, MC’s 14th album has the ridiculously hilarious full title of Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse. It’s as if she finally decided to embrace her crazy divaness in all its guises and just run with it. This album has been some three years in the making. As per usual, there are superstar guests (Mary J Blige and lots of rap blokes), plenty of pilfering of old tunes for new ( You Don’t Know What You Do “borrows” from an old disco song), plus a George Michael cover ( One More Try). If you love Mariah, you’ll love this, but even if you don’t there’s plenty of decent tunes and Mariah’s unmistakable wail to bring it all together.
