DNA: How did you become Tyson Tyler? Tyson Tyler: I used to be a ballet dancer but an injury ended that dream. I loved to perform and I was always a very sexual person.
How many porn movies have you made? I think I’ve now made over 20, maybe even 30. I’ve had so much fun making them it’s hard to keep track. I’ve been lucky to have worked for great studios. So far one of my favourite movies has been Into Darkness by Raging Stallion. It was great to be part of that… so much hotness all around [smiles broadly]. Is working in gay porn as sexy and
glamorous as people imagine? For the most part it is quite sexy when the chemistry is there. Sometimes the technical side of things makes it a bit mechanical, like having to re-shoot an anal
scene to get the right angle. You’re considered one of the world’s leading black gay porn stars. How does
that make you feel? Wow, I didn’t really know that! I really love what I do and I’m always working with great people. I’m also very consistent, so I think that sets me apart from some of the porn guys out there. You’re launching a range of “bespoke” dildos. Is this your first step to world
domination? Just the first [laughs]. I’m really excited about this, I feel the time is right for me to expand my brand into other aspects of the sex industry and this is the next step. What else are you planning to branch out
into? First the bespoke dildos and then we’ll add on. I want an entire range! What are your plans if and
when you finish with porn? I want to do porn as long as it’s fun for me and I will always be involved in the sex industry. I see myself as a businessman, so I try to always be one step ahead. You also have a very extensive
website. I work with my social media and webmaster, Aamyko, and we are always thinking of things to make my brand bigger and better. The idea behind the website was to have all things Tyson in one place. It’s a great place to find out pretty much all there is about me. Do you think it’s harder for a black man to make it in gay porn these days? Kinda. It’s just a matter of you making colour an issue. Sure, there are some studios that won’t hire more black models but those aren’t the studios I’m interested in. I like to always have a good vibe with the people I work with.
Are you romantically attached? I’m a lucky guy, my boyfriend only cares for my happiness and is 110 percent in my corner.
What turns you on most in a man? Honesty and a big dick – the best combination I think!
What do you notice first about a guy? His sense of style, the way he moves. I look at the entire package. What advice would you give to others who were thinking of doing what you’ve done? Surround yourself with good people who support you and your career. Be honest to the people you work with and treat this like a business because you have to be professional otherwise it’s very easy to get a bad reputation.

normal coming out with some family drama, but I’ve always been a very upfront person so it wasn’t that big of a shock for my family and they are very supportive of me. Is it hard being recognised all the time
now? I’m not recognised all the time [laughs]. When I do meet fans they are so nice and at first a bit shy, but I’m very down to earth and I treat my fans as my friends – always have, always will.
What are your plans for the next year? I’m planning on moving to the US for a few months and I have a lot of work coming up – tons of scenes to do that have already been booked as well as photo shoots that I’m booked for so it’s going to be a very busy time for me.
