One of our long-time faves at DNA (she once conducted an interview with us while travelling with her gay mates to a flea market), this Brit chick has always been full of surprises. Her fourth album does not disappoint. From the angry yet soulful title track, to the swirling ’60s melodrama of Guilty, to the pure pop perfection of Crybaby, this is Paloma in the best form of her career. We can but hope it survives the Christmas rush to claim its stake as one of the best albums you’ll hear in 2018 (if you haven’t already). File The Architect next to any of Adele’s three albums and Amy Winehouse’s Back To Black. This is a unique artist in her prime.
