WHITNEY HOUSTON – I WISH YOU LOVE

Twenty-five years ago, Whitney was at the apex of her career. She scored one of the biggest hits of all time with a melodramatic cover of Dolly Parton’s I Will Always Love You, which featured on the soundtrack to the blockbuster The Bodyguard. A quarter of a century later, and in cooperation with her estate, comes this odd rejigging of the soundtrack, boasting studio and live versions of the album’s original Whitney numbers. This is definitely more of a fan item than of wider concern – half a live Whitney album and half unreleased versions of The Bodyguard songs. A better bet might be to invest in the re-released The Bodyguard DVD where you get the whole package.
