Mimi’s Hotel, hidden behind a historic façade, is a newly constructed hotel offering seven room categories from Tiny, Mini and Cosy up to Lux. As the names suggest, Tiny really is just that at only six-square metres. I opted for Lux – at a roomy 21-square metres. What the room lacked in size it made up for in style.

All rooms are near-soundproof (I made the most of that!) and offer high-end finishes like flat screen TV, free in-room movie, music and WI-FI, super comfortable 5-star mattresses with luxurious Frette linen, Molton Brown toiletries and complimentary mineral water.

If you’re in the mood for a room that offers something extra, ask about the dungeon. Clad with steel bars, it offers the full 50 Shades Of Grey vibe and is seriously worth it!
