FANCY A COCKTAIL

-

Standing over 300 metres high, The Shard has the best views in London. Perched above the famed Shangri-La Hotel, it’s worth competing with the crowds to get in and then there’s no better place to be than the Gong, the highest of the cocktail bars, on level 52. Get there for sunset and watch the city burst into life as you plan your adventures for the night ahead.

Established in 1890, Gordon’s Wine Bar is a familyrun business and is London’s oldest and most iconic wine bar. Not much has changed over the past 127 years; the old wooden walls are covered in historic newspapers telling the stories of yesteryear.

As your eyes adjust to the flickering candlelight you’ll see rickety wooden tables and hear softy spoken voices. It’s the polite sounds of people enjoying the well-priced food with wines, sherries and ports served from the barrel. Gordon’s really is part of London’s drinking history. You won’t be disappointed.
