If Camila Cabello never has another hit she’s guaranteed to be able to live off the royalties of her mega-success from last year, Havana. Once a member of Fifth Harmony, lest we forget, her debut solo album (“The soundtrack to the past year of my life!” she declares) might just have what it takes to transform her from one-hit-wonder to Madonna-in-waiting. If you prefer a sexier, female take on Ed Sheeran’s winning formula, you’ll appreciate what’s on offer here. All These Years and Never Be The Same could easily have fallen off Ed’s last album. Much better is when Camila ramps up the feisty Latina beats on She Loves Control and Inside Out. Uh, na, na, a star is born.
