“In The Good Fight I played a gay alt-right character based on Milo Yiannopoulos. There’s a self-hatred that we need to think about. Gay males like Yiannopoulos have a tendency to eroticise their oppressor – it’s a very weird Nazi thing to do. They’ll say, “If I could change my sexual orientation I would!” or “I’m not racist because I love black dick.” This is self-hatred combined with a need to shock. It’s pathetic and childlike.”
