You may not be that familiar with the name, but Giorgio is considered the father of disco and electronic music. Basically, he invented dance music as we have known it for the past few decades. His genius was behind most of Donna Summer’s big hits, including the classic and groundgreaking I Feel Love. He also had his own side career as a performer and producer (winning bags of awards, too). On this album, though, a host of hot DJs mess with the best of his back catalogue including The Chase, the theme from 1970s gay-ish movie Midnight Express, which won Giorgio an Oscar. There’s contributions from big names like Danny Tenaglia and Roger Sanchez, plus our fave new raver Denis Naidanow. Discolicious!
