GROOMING: DON’T BUZZ THE BUSH!

-

There are many benefits to sleeping on silk other than simply feeling luxurious.

Dermatologists, cosmetic surgeons and beauty experts recommend sleeping on a silk pillowcase to reduce sleep creases and fine lines as well as help retain moisture in your skin. Wearing a silk eye mask will do all of this, concentrating on the eye area, as well as helping reduce eye puffiness. Sleeping on silk is like having a beauty treatment while you sleep.

SNORE NO MORE

Most of the products advertised on the internet or sold over the counter to reduce snoring don’t work. These four easy-to-do remedies may save your bed-mate a night sleeping on the couch.

1. Sew a sock onto the back of a bed shirt and fill it with a tennis ball. You will be less likely to sleep on your back if it’s uncomfortable.

2. Lose weight. As little as 5 kilos may make the difference by opening up your airways.

3. Avoid using sedatives or alcohol in the four hours before going to sleep, especially red wine.

4. Don’t overheat in bed. You’re more likely to lie on your back if you’re hot, and that can lead to snoring.
