PACES – ZAG

Queensland’s Gold Coast is not the first place you think of when it comes to cutting-edge dance music, but local lad Mikey Perry – who employs the catchy alias Paces – is determined to change that. His second album includes three underground singles: the wacked-out

Savage; club zinger Call the 5-0; and the cruisy

Technique featuring Emmalyn (from GRL). The album also features a bunch of collaborations with Reija Lee, Tigerilla and CLYPSO, plus the banging Siren complete with vocals from Guy Sebastian, which might be the best song he’s dropped in years. It’s experimental but catchy, it’s fresh but still has enough references to cool grooves of the past – Zag is ready to get ziggy with.
