Great Britain’s official tourism board, Visit Britain, specifical­ly targets LGBTIQ travellers with its Love Is Great campaign, which launched in 2016. Targetting potential visitors from North America and Australia, it even included British government participat­ion in local Pride events in 16 cities across the US, Mexico and Canada. It was the first foreign government to participat­e in Pride on such a significan­t scale in the Americas. Visit Scotland is in on the act, too, offering LGBT History Month as well as Pride festivitie­s in Edinburgh and Glasgow and launching a website aimed at LGBT tourists.
