Great Bri­tain’s of­fi­cial tourism board, Visit Bri­tain, specif­i­cally tar­gets LGBTIQ trav­ellers with its Love Is Great cam­paign, which launched in 2016. Tar­get­ting po­ten­tial vis­i­tors from North Amer­ica and Aus­tralia, it even in­cluded Bri­tish govern­ment par­tic­i­pa­tion in lo­cal Pride events in 16 cities across the US, Mex­ico and Canada. It was the first for­eign govern­ment to par­tic­i­pate in Pride on such a sig­nif­i­cant scale in the Amer­i­cas. Visit Scot­land is in on the act, too, of­fer­ing LGBT His­tory Month as well as Pride fes­tiv­i­ties in Ed­in­burgh and Glas­gow and launch­ing a web­site aimed at LGBT tourists.
