HOMOPHOBES SAY IT… WE SLAY IT!

THE HIT:

“You’re selling toilet paper, why do you have to inject homosexuals into your commercials. It’s disgusting.” A Twitter user condemns Cottonelle’s latest advert featuring a gay couple.

THE SLAY:

“No matter a person’s orientation… at Cottonelle Brand, diversity is embraced in all aspects and we are proud to share a commercial that is representative of that,” said the soft-yet-buttkicking response from Cottonelle.

THE HIT:

“I’ve reiterated many times that samesex couples and single parents can successfully raise a child. But I believe paternal and maternal love are like vitamins and minerals to humanity,” announced Brooklyn Nine-Nine actor, Terry Crews.

THE SLAY:

“Love is not gendered. A child will not starve with only one gender loving them,” tweeted @jakesherondale on Twitter, one of many who tried to school Crews on social media.

THE HIT:

“I used to lead a homosexual lifestyle, and then I found God… I stopped following my passions to follow Jesus. There can be love between two men, yes – but only friendship love. Everything else is a sin,” declared X Factor Malta contestant, Matthew Grech in his preaudition interview.

THE SLAY:

“That interview should never have been aired in the first place… It did untold damage to our efforts to change social attitudes towards minor… LGBTIQ youths. Gay youths don’t need forgiveness or healing, they need understanding,” responded Malta’s Equality Minister, Helena Dalli.

“I can’t believe we’re in 2019 and we’re talking about being gay as if it’s some kind of illness,” added X Factor host, Ben Camille.

THE HIT:

Homosexuality is punishable by death in Saudi Arabia, Sudan and Yemen.

THE SLAY:

“If I, as a gay person, would not talk about that, I would have a problem,” said Luxembourg’s Prime Minister, Xavier Bettel, who is married to a man. He confronted Arab leaders over their antigay laws at a conference between the EU and the Arab League, telling them he would be put to death in many of their countries.
