CUPCAKE TELEVISION – PIZZA PARTY

Surely it was only a matter of time before we had drag queens making children’s records and now – halleloo! – here we are. Cupcake Television, like a cross between Divine and Pee Wee Herman, is the creation of Kevin James Thornton from queer Nashville folk act, Indiana Queen. His aim is to create “absurd” music for children and with tracks like Poop In A Box he’s pretty much accomplished that. If you have kids, or are around them, you’ll know how obsessed they are with brightly coloured things and anything to do with defecation, so Cupcake is right on brand here.
