DNA: We love that the series so beautifully captures male models. Do you only shoot in this way with men?

Lucas Murnaghan: When I started, I didn’t intend to focus exclusively on men. It was early on in my exploration that I began to realise that there was an autobiographical underpinning to my work. I was asking my subjects to convey emotions and memories that I felt. As a gay man, working with the male aesthetic to evoke a sense of vulnerability became central to my images.
