If Israel wants to pray for souls, why doesn’t he start with his fellow rugby players who have raped women and are junkies? He might be exercising his right to free speech but when does it become hate speech? And God did not speak to him to allow what he said. Israel is an idiot. – Alex Angelil This is not about freedom of speech or freedom of religion. It’s about a contractual law that he broke, not once, but twice or more. He is entitled to his opinion like anyone else. That is our right to freedom of speech. His comments are still up on his social media account. They have not been taken down. He has not been thrown in jail. What has happened is that his employer has a code of conduct. He broke the rules once and was warned. He broke the rules again and he was terminated. Rugby Australia had every right to do this. Freedom of speech and freedom of religion does not entitle you to freedom of consequences because you choose to break the code of conduct of your employer.

Since when has Will Young been an LGBTQ activist? A few Twitter spats with wellknown celebrity pals doesn’t make him an activist. He’s a great singer with a great back catalogue of songs, which no one can take away from him. Would love to see him back at the top of the charts, but I think this slightly desperate attempt at embracing his gay side smacks of desperation to make himself relevant again. – John Shiel From the Ed: Wow, that’s harsh!
