Calling your first album in ten years Happiness Begins and posing with your butts on the cover is not, regrettably, an ode to the Brothers newfound joy of anal sex… we assume. All three of the former Disney Channel stars are now grown-up, married heterosexually and in a man band with lots to prove commercially and credibility-wise. The album’s first two singles, slinky earworm Sucker and infectious-as-an-STI Cool, are damned fine indications of what to expect – clever guitar pop with a splash of synths and awash in catchy melodies. There’s plenty of gooey valentines to their various new wives, courtesy of an extended list of guest writers ensuring the Brothers are radio-friendly, chart-ready and able to pay for their exotic honeymoons. Look out for the Amazon Prime doco, hopefully, giving plenty of insider info on their flashy celebrity weddings.
