Disappointed to see you promoting TikTok in your latest issue. TikTok is assertively, shamelessly and openly homophobic both in their corporate policies, operating algorithms and content monitoring. I can only assume you have been paid to promote this app, but you should contemplate whether the payment you got was worth the harm this company is doing to the LGBTQ+ community. – bullittchase From the Ed: TikTok did not pay DNA for the editorial inclusion in the last issue. Even though TikTok’s homphobia has been reported, there is so much gay content on the app these reports seem over-inflated. Our story made it very clear that there are “significant security concerns” with the app and that “you have been warned”. Homophobic “community standards” are strictly applied to Facebook and Instagram also.
