Women have long been able to change the shape of their bodies with the benefit of specific undergarments like corsets, padded bras, and the Wonder Bra or push-up bra. Men’s underwear, by comparison, has been letting us down, with most traditional underwear providing no additional benefit to our overall appearance.
Newly launched menswear label, Rounderbum, however, have created a men’s line especially for those who want to look more athletic and are in need of body-enhancing underwear.
“The Rounderbum idea began when we saw that most men did not fill out their jeans properly, especially on the backside,” says brand founder, Jonathan Diersing. “We got on a mission to make every jean and pant look better on men, regardless of whether they had a butt or not and that’s how our ‘Say goodbye to saggy jeans’ motto was born.
“Besides jeans, there are other garments that don’t favour your body shape and that’s where you could need that little extra help to make them fit nicely,” says Jonathan.
“For instance, our Compression Technology helps with fitting your dress shirts better, especially in the case of a slim-fit look. Or maybe you want to archive a more bulked look when you dress up – our Padded Muscle Shirt will do the trick.”
Rounderbum’s innovative technologies have led to patented designs including seamless and fusing manufacturing. The goal is to achieve a natural look and muscle definition but with subtlety.
Besides the physical benefits, there are well-being and psychological benefits to Rounderbum, believes Jonathan.
“Our padded underwear is so comfortable that they are frequently used when traveling and sitting down for long periods of time. Also, our customers who have lost muscle tissue or body fat over the years seek our undies for the added support and comfort they provide.” What if a padded garment is not for everyone? “We have other technologies that will help enhance the body in different ways,” says Jonathan. “For instance, our Anatomic Technology adapts to the natural anatomy of your body, hugging your curves and making your package look bigger and your bum look rounder without any padding.
