1 King (2015)

Back last decade when Y&Y were still a band, this dazzling pop tune with a killer chorus became their first UK #1 and Australian top ten hit. The impressive video features choreography from dance master and RuPaul’s Drag Race regular, Ryan Heffington, who had previously worked his magic for Sia and Arcade Fire.

2 It’s A Sin (2021)

Initially recorded as a stirring AIDS memorial for the soundtrack to the TV series It’s A Sin in which Olly starred, later versions featured Elton John (as a dramatic power ballad) and Pet Shop Boys (a Hi-NRG stomper). Olly previously contributed to the PSB single

Dreamland, the lead single from their 2020 album Hotspot.

3 A Second To Midnight (2021)

The second of Olly’s collabs with Aussie superstar Kylie Minogue features as a bonus on the

Night Call album. In the video, Olly and Kylie switch clothes (or is it genders?) and a handbag house remix courtesy of drag icon Jodie Harsh only made it queerer.

4 Sunlight (2014)

Credited to The Magician Featuring Years & Years, here’s Olly’s unmistakably vocals added to this pulsating dance track, which hit top ten in the UK and top 20 in Oz. Sunlight was later used on the soundtrack to the Zac Efron movie We Are Your Friends where he plays a struggling DJ. The struggle is real!

5 Come Alive (2018)

In 2018 some bright spark had the great idea to re-record the soundtrack to megahit movie The

Greatest Showman with chart stars. Alongside P!nk,

Kelly Clarkson and Kesha, Years & Years contributed pop bop Come Alive (originally voiced by Hugh Jackman and co) with fellow Brit popstress, Jess Glynne.
