flying high

When I have to travel for work, comfort anda style is top of mind. Here are my quick-fix faves to perk up a long-haul flflight.

DRESS THE PART Even after a 23-hour flight, I like to look my best – but that doesn’t mean I’m willing to sacrifice comfort! This combo of slouchy jeans, relaxed boyfriend shirt and a navy light jacket always serves me well.

LUGGAGE LOVE I still remember buying my first piece of ‘grown-up’ luggage with my initials on it – there’s something so glamorous about a sophisticated suitcase. My latest travel buddies are these two handy bags from Hunt Leather – one is to check in and one is a stowable size for day trips and overnights.

SOFT AND COSY I’m lucky enough to be one of those people who tends not to suffer from jetlag – my secrets are lots and lots of water, a really comfy travel pillow and a cosy cashmere blanket, like these ones from Banjo and Matilda.

SNAP HAPPY In a world full of smartphone cameras, I like to look behind a real lens when I’m taking my snaps (that’s if I have time to see the sights!). This limited-edition Olympus model has a cool vintage feel. Add a chic leather passport holder and your stylish traveller look is complete.

JET-SETTER SKIN Keep this kit of luxe in-flight essentials from Aesop on hand to cleanse, hydrate and refresh during your journey (and at your destination). I’m storing mine in this small tan leather wetpack from Hunt Leather.
