Dubbo Stroke Sup­port Group

The next monthly get-to­gether of the Dubbo Stroke Sup­port Group will be on Wed­nes­day, March 14, at the David Palmer Cen­tre, Old Lour­des Hos­pi­tal, 84 Cobb­ora Road, Dubbo from 10am to 12 noon. Ben Shields, Mayor of the Dubbo Re­gional Coun­cil, will be our guest speaker at this meet­ing. Peo­ple af­fected by stroke, their fam­ily, car­ers and friends are wel­come. Drone Re­mote Pi­lot’s Li­cence (REPL) Train­ing Pack­age

Up­com­ing 5 day Drone REPL course in Dubbo co­or­di­nated by NSW Farm­ers. Look­ing to start on Wed­nes­day, April 25, (AN­ZAC Day) and run through to Sun­day, April 29. Course cost is $2,990, but may re­duce slightly with in­creas­ing num­bers. The course cov­ers such top­ics as map read­ing and di­rec­tion; air leg­is­la­tion, me­te­o­rol­ogy, prin­ci­ples of flight and prac­ti­cal ses­sions on an air­craft it­self. We also dis­cuss top­ics in­clud­ing lipo bat­ter­ies, pre and post flight check­lists, job safety as­sess­ments (JSAS), the im­por­tance of ground crew and rel­e­vant pro­ce­dures, busi­ness prac­tices, in­sur­ance, etc. There’s no pre­course study re­quired for your REPL and you will learn ev­ery­thing needed on the course for both the the­ory and prac­ti­cal fly­ing as­sess­ments. NALAG Blue Heal­ers Pro­gram

The NALAG Cen­tre in Welch­man St Dubbo are hold­ing a free week­end Blue Heal­ers pro­gram on Satur­day, March 10, and Sun­day, March 11, to as­sist peo­ple in man­ag­ing De­pres­sion , Stress and Anx­i­ety. Meet with like-minded peo­ple in a small group set­ting and equip your­self with tools to help you cope bet­ter with ev­ery­day events & start en­joy­ing life again. Neami Na­tional Sui­cide Pre­ven­tion Op­ti­mal Health Pro­gram

Won­gar­bon Swap Meet and Mar­ket Day

Will be held on Sun­day, March 11, at the Won­gar­bon Park Grounds, 17 kilo­me­ters from Dubbo on the Welling­ton road. The event will run from 8am-1pm. There will be var­i­ous stalls, in­clud­ing cake stall, white ele­phant, food kiosk with ba­con and egg rolls, sausage siz­zle and a fruit and veg­gie raf­fle. Sites $10. En­joy coun­try mu­sic on the day. Pro­ceeds to Wagon Wheel Club rais­ing much needed funds for Royal Far West Car­ing for Coun­try Kids.
