Initiatives such as the ones being undertaken by the NSW Ambulance and Western Sector Management at Wellington station helps local job seekers participating in the Work for the Dole program, which is fully funded by the Australian Government as part of the Jobactive employment initiative.

Wellington Station commenced the relationship in 2017 and will continue to work with local members of the community throughout 2018 to complete a number of projects at the station including a five bay carport, a paved undercover barbecue area, low maintenance garden beds, screening plants and a rain water tank to catch run-off from newly constructed carport – and that’s just for starters.

The project is part of Mid-macquarie Landcare’s Work for the Dole program.
