Golden games at Sporties
AUSTRALIA enjoying gold medal wins in lawn bowls at the Commonwealth Games this week could be the encouragement needed for new players to try the sport for the first time!
Lawn bowls is not currently played as an Olympic sport, and so the Commonwealth Games is giving competitors one of the biggest chances at a golden moment.
Bowling enthusiasts were at Sporties on March 13 and again on April 3 for sessions of fun, socialising and friendly competition. There was both men’s and women’s games in action when Dubbo Photo News dropped by. Bowlers play regularly on Tuesday and Saturday mornings, and anyone is welcome to come along and join in.
