East Coast MX Series roars at Dubbo

-

ALMOST 300 competitors from all over NSW and ACT made the trip to Dubbo for Round 4 of the East Coast MX Series last weekend, June 2-3.

With only one more round of the motocross championship left, riders were eager to score maximum points to boost their chances of victory going into the final at Maitland in six weeks’ time.

Local Dubbo riders took advantage of home soil, and achieved Top 5 places in some classes.

Blake Fox put in an outstanding performance in the premier 125cc and 250cc junior lites classes, sweeping all six races, and now leads the championship in both classes.

Toby Adams finished 2nd in all of his races to take 2nd overall for the day in the 250cc Clubman Lites class.

Campbell Williams had a consistent ride finishing 4th overall for the day in the 12-u14 85cc class.

Jack Deveson finished a close 2nd overall in the 9-u12 65cc class.

With a 1st and a 2nd place in his first two races, Nate Henderson had the win in his sights but crashed off the start in his last race. Nate rode hard back to 6th place in his final race giving him 2nd overall for the day in the 7-u9 65cc class.

Clay Mcdonald claimed 4th overall in the 7-u9 50cc class, and 5th overall in the 7-u9 65cc class.

Series promoter Michel Constantinou said this was the first time they have come to Dubbo for a round of the East Coast MX Series.

“Riders from regional areas have been supporting the series for years, and it’s great for the East Coast MX Series to come to Dubbo to support them. We would like to come back to Dubbo for a round in 2019,” Constantinou said.
