Dubbo Private Hospital welcomes the community
A Community Open Day was held at Dubbo Private Hospital on Saturday, May 26, which, in their own words, was “an opportunity for our community to meet the staff and help demystify some of the hospital procedures, and reassure those of you who may be apprehensive about coming in for an operation or medical stay”.
Visitors were able to see the pathway that patients make from admission to discharge by taking a tour through the theatre and day surgery, get a sweet treat from the hospital’s Australia’s 25th Biggest Morning Tea event, have a free health check, visit the gym, have a sausage or get their face painted.
Visitors were also offered the chance to have their say by joining the hospital’s Consumer and Community Advisory Committee. Victoria Daly, Mandy Meyers, Colleen Mcguire and Felicity Rostron The Douglas family, Craig Budden and Trevor Grant
