Annual Presbyterian Flower Show turns 100!
THE Annual Presbyterian Flower Show, Gilgandra, will be celebrating its 100th consecutive year on Friday, October 12, at the Gilgandra Shire Hall.
There are 57 classes in the flower show schedule, with roses being the most popular section. Other classes include bulbs and rhizomes, cut flowers, and decorative.
Visitors will find cakes, sweets, produce, plants, crafts and bargain stalls, children’s activities, competition and lunch from 12 noon ($15), afternoon tea from 3pm ($5) and a high tea from 6pm ($15).
The high tea at night will consist of a hot meal and sweets, as served in the early years.
All are welcome to attend and display their entries. Every section wins a trophy.
