A 21-YEAR-OLD man was killed on the weekend after crashing into a fence in Beddoes Avenue, only a block from the Wheelers Lane-cobra Street roundabout.
Emergency services raced to the scene about 10.40pm last Saturday night, September 22, after the initial reports a motorbike had hit a fence.
The 21-year-old man died at the scene.
Officers from Orana Mid Western Police District attended and established a crime scene.
The circumstances surrounding the crash are being investigated and a brief will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
The Dubbo fatality was one of a series in NSW, with five motorcyclists killed on the state’s roads during the weekend.
It prompted a warning from police urging riders to be more vigilant when they’re on the road.
Traffic and Highway Patrol Command Assistant Commissioner, Michael Corboy, said an increasing number of crashes were involving some of the state’s most vulnerable road users – motorcyclists and pedestrians. So far this year, 41 motorcyclists and 53 pedestrians have been killed.
