In cel­e­bra­tion of Welling­ton’s di­verse blend of cul­tures and his­tory, Welling­ton Arts will trans­form Fong Lees Lane into a colour­ful, vi­brant out­door eat­ing venue on Fri­day, Oc­to­ber 26, from 5:30pm-9:30pm. This will be a fam­ily event of live mu­sic, dancers, mul­ti­cul­tural food, lanterns made by lo­cal chil­dren and a Chi­nese Dragon to com­ple­ment the old world mar­ket place at­mos­phere. The Spirit of the Planet Fes­ti­val Dubbo

Will be held at Dubbo Show­ground on Fri­day, Novem­ber 30, from 4:30pm – 11:30pm; Satur­day, De­cem­ber 1, from 10:30am – 11:30pm; and Sun­day, De­cem­ber 2, from 10am – 3pm. The fes­ti­val will show­case lo­cal and in­ter­na­tional world in­dige­nous cul­ture and tra­di­tion, through song, dance, sto­ries and art. Groups from around the world will travel to Dubbo, from lo­ca­tions in­clud­ing Easter Is­land, Mex­ico City, Kenya, Malaysia and Cameroon. Ac­tiv­i­ties in­clude Awak­en­ing of the Senses, Kid’s Cor­ner, Tribal Vil­lage, High En­ergy main stage Per­for­mances, Q&A ses­sions with each group, school ex­cur­sion ex­pe­ri­ences, mar­ket stalls, food and drinks.
