Food for Fines amnesty at Regional Library

UNTIL Monday, December 31, Macquarie Regional Library will run a Food for Fines amnesty.

“Throughout December, the library will waive overdue fines on items that have been returned in exchange for non-perishable food donations, including packaged and canned goods,” Macquarie Regional Library manager Kathryn Mcalister said.

Donations will go to local charity organisations throughout the region. Donations will also be accepted from people who would simply like to give to a good cause.

“This will be a fantastic opportunity for members to return that overdue book, magazine, audiobook, CD or DVD that is still sitting at home – even if it has been years!”
