WELLINGTON will come alive with the sound of music at multiple venues for the Music In between festival from Sunday, January 13, to Sunday, January 20.

The annual festival attracts the very best local musicians and performers who are keen to show off their talents during the week.

The Festival launch involves live music and an all-day barbecue at the Wellington Bowling Club. Walk Up Mic Day will run from 12.30pm to 4.30pm at the Wellington Soldiers Memorial Club, then karaoke and local musicians at the Wellington Bowling Club on Friday, January 18.

Other highlights of the week include buskers, art exhibition­s and sales, croquet for new or experience­d players, bowls, mountain trail walks, fine dining, kayak river paddling and discount offers for shoppers.
