Macquarie Yabbies first in line for 2019

CONDITIONS could not have been more inviting for competitors who enjoyed the first competitive outing of the New Year at Narromine.

In the soon to be refurbished pool, fast times were set. The best from the west fairly sizzled on one of the hottest days of the year.

It’s a scene sure to be played out across Dubbo and surrounding towns over the next few months as schools return and the annual carnivals click into gear.

Photographer Mel Pocknall enjoyed the drive in his air-conditioned car and he liked the look of the water but we couldn’t tempt him into the Yabbies’ pool!
