to the energy provider that quoted 12 working days to restore power to street lighting caused during the storm. Five lights in one street were affected.

Thumbs Up

to Kings Hall Jewellers for their excellent service. I would highly recommend them.

Thumbs Up

to the ladies at the Grove Post Office. They are very efficient and spot-on with everything and care about their customers. They really are the best!

Thumbs Up

to Dubbo Private Hospital – thank you very much for making my cataract surgery such a pleasant experience. I can’t thank you enough, you are a great team.

Thumbs Down

local schools that are not being a sun safe and not allowing kids to wear hats during outdoor school assemblies and sport.

Thumbs Up

to the creative ladies who do the windows at St Vincent de Paul. I have to say they’re often humorous and always interesting and eye catching. They’re worth looking at. They do a great job.

Thumbs Up

to all the Dubbo businesses who actually train their staff to speak to our elders with respect and without judgement. Just because someone is a senior doesn’t mean they don’t have feelings too.

Thumbs Up

to Rabin at Telstra at Orana Mall. Thank you very, very much for your help with my mobile plan. Your help was very much appreciated.

Heath said: “Thumbs Up to the privateers taking over looking after Council property! Proving it can be done with a tenth of the budget.” ORANA Physical Culture extended a very big welcome to new and returning members recently. It is a dance sport which has had a long presence in Australia, now launching into its 127th year.

Physie fuses dance styles such as jazz, ballet, hip-hop, contemporary, aerobic dance and even has links to yoga. Orana Physie is a not-for-profit community group.

With excitement the club happily welcomed back teachers Rhiannon Malouf, Sarah Campbell, Sarah Lucan, Kristy Hubbard and Holly Jameson, who work towards supporting girls and ladies to blossom with confidence and self-assurance.

Physie classes cater for all age groups from two years and up. Miss Holly runs the 2- to 4-yearold ‘Sparkles’ group where imagination and creativity abound.

Great news for all the ladies out there who have ever thought “I’d love to do physie but I don’t think I would feel comfortable in a leotard”. New to physie in 2019 for seniors and ladies is a range of active wear as an optional alternative to a leotard. Long sleeve tops, and leggings which are either full length or 7/8 length are included in this new range.

Orana Physie is all about empowering girls and ladies with skills that build confidence and physical wellbeing. It’s about getting fit and healthy and having a place where members feel encouraged, supported and valued. They’re taught to embrace fitness as a way of life and focus on what their bodies can do, rather than how they look.

For Term 1 the club is offering a ‘Stretch and Technique’ class to members 9 years and up. This class is designed to promote flexibility and strength. It will give support to anyone who chooses that extra tuition, as well as further build those in-club networks.

Orana Physical Culture is now an approved provider of both the Active Kids and Creative Kids vouchers. The affordability of Orana Physie has been greatly enhanced by the generous sponsorships provided by the Regional Australia Bank, Peppercorn Childcare, and the South Dubbo Tavern.

The club uses and thankfully acknowledges the superb facilities available to them in Henderson Hall at the Macquarie Anglican Grammar School. This high-quality venue provides a floor and learning space that accommodates the club’s commitment to excellence.

For those who aren’t sure, a free trial lesson is on offer. The associate teachers are planning a fun-filled year where fitness and friendship are paramount. You can contact us via our facebook page.
