UPA opens new com­mu­nity cen­tre

UPA Western Re­gional ex­ec­u­tive pres­i­dent Tod O’dea of­fi­cially opened the new UPA Ox­ley Com­mu­nity Cen­tre on Thurs­day, May 2. The event was at­tended by res­i­dents, staff, vol­un­teers and guests of Ox­ley Vil­lage.

The com­mu­nity cen­tre re­ceived com­mu­nity con­sul­ta­tion be­fore con­struc­tion and now features a craft room, li­brary, kitchen, space for in­door bowls, and pri­vate func­tion spa­ces which are avail­able for use by Ox­ley Vil­lage, Bracken House res­i­dents, home care ser­vices clients and fam­i­lies.

The con­struc­tion took ap­prox­i­mately 18 months and was built by Dubbo com­pany David Payne Con­struc­tions. Nola Dent en­joy­ing the of­fi­cial open­ing lun­cheon.
